Reading Romans after Supersessionism

This course explains from the Letter to the Romans the way Paul thought Jewish covenantal identity continues now that the messianic era had begun. It offers alternative readings to the key interpretive points that lead to supersessionist understandings of Paul’s most important letter. It also addresses Paul’s Israel-centric thinking, the relevance of Abraham for Jews and non-Jews, the continuing role of Torah within the Messianic movement, and his teaching on the social and missional implications of the good news.
